COVID-19 Policy for Face-to-Face Sessions

Macedon Ranges Psychological Services (MRPS) is pleased to resume face-to-face services, after what has been a challenging time for us all. Our psychologists will begin a gradual return to face-to-face sessions from the end of 2021 – start of 2022. MRPS will continue to offer Telehealth services throughout this time. Following the advice of the Victorian government, MRPS will adhere to the following guidelines for face-to-face services:

COVID-19 vaccinations

Our psychologists have received both doses of the COVID-19 vaccination. In the interests of the safety of our clients, community, and team, our face-to-face sessions will only be available to those clients who have been fully vaccinated against COVID-19.  Proof of vaccination status will be required at your first appointment in the clinic.  Failure to provide proof of vaccination will result in your session being cancelled. Cancellations due to lack of vaccination evidence will be subject to the MRPS cancellation policy, whereby the full session fee may be required if sufficient notice is not provided.

We respect and understand that some clients may elect to not be vaccinated or prefer to not disclose their vaccination status. Under these circumstances, Telehealth sessions will continue to be available.

COVID-19 screening

Please do not attend the practice if you have COVID-19, are unwell, have been asked to isolate, live with someone who meets any of the above criteria, or have visited an exposure site. Our reception staff will screen all clients prior to entry your appointment. Clients who present any risk of COVID-19 transmission, as per the above criteria, will be asked to leave the clinic and have their appointment rescheduled.

Attending face-to-face appointments at MRPS

We ask that you adhere the following guidelines when attending face-to-face appointments at MRPS:

  • Please attend the practice on your own, as our waiting room will remained closed. We ask that you remain in your vehicle/outside until your allocated appointment time.

  • Please 'check in' using the QR code upon entry to the clinic.

  • Please sanitise your hands upon entry to the clinic.

  • Please wear a mask while in the clinic, including in the reception area and in your session.

We thank you in advance for your understanding and cooperation.
